Everyone knows what happens in an AGM. The usual formalities: motioning changes, electing new execs. But really, it has been really fun. Not surprisingly, this AGM in 2008 was the longest AGM we’ve ever had. That is, the longest AGM out of the two that we’ve had so far. Well 3 if you include the inaugrual general meeting. It started from 5pm today and it wasn’t until 8pm that the formalities ended.
So here’s our new executive team for 2008-2009:
- President: Ben Taylor
- Vice President: Dominick Ng
- Treasurer: Joshua Pearse
- Secretary: Gareth Robinson
- Events Co-Ordinator: Joshua Akehurst
- Public Relations: Cathrine Stewart
- Industry Liaison: Edmund Tse
- IT Officer: Tim Dawborn
- Undergraduate Representative: Tarek Elgindy
- Postgraduate Representative: Liviu Constantinescu
The night of AGM did include dinner though. We ordered delicious dinner from Newtwon Thai 2, with a menu delicately selected by Jonathan to feature ample vegetarian varieties. Not to mention the added cake for dessert, since it was Chris’ birthday today. Happy birthday, Chris!
SUITS now has a new and exciting team of executives. I’m excited!
