As a Developer you’ll develop reliable and highly flexible systems in the market. You will have full responsibility for the entire SDLC. You’ll be responsible for designing and optimising our systems, both technically and functionally to improve our trading success.

- Exchange connectivity software & Auto Trading related projects (C++)
- Trading client GUIs or Middle Office systems (C#/.NET)

You are a penultimate/final year/Honours student or a recent graduate (graduated in the past two years) with a Distinc- tion/High Distinction average in Computer Science, Computing or Software Engineering, with a firm grasp of OO design and development concepts. Experience in Linux, Networks, multi-threaded programming, .NET and databases would be a bonus.

In an environment where milliseconds are too slow, we need our systems performing at their peak, all day, every day. As a Trading Systems Engineer, your work takes place in the production environment where you are custodian to the systems that drive Optiver’s core business.
From the software that places orders direct to the market to the trading front-end, you will have strong end-to-end understanding of how these components operate as one. Whilst this is not a development or systems admin role, it incor- porates elements of both. You’ll often find yourself on the trading floor as a trusted advisor to the business on operational decisions. Cyber Security Internship Program
With major cyber attacks becoming more frequent, sophisticated and costly, there is a driving demand for managed services for our clients. Our Cyber Intelligence Centre (CIC) is a 24/7 managed security service monitoring and responding to cyber threats, helping organisations protect their networks, systems, applications, information and reputation in real-time.
As part of our Cyber Security Internship you will be part of the CIC team, pro-actively detecting malicious behaviour using a unique blend of device threat intelligence feeds from multiple commercial and open source feeds.
This is a part-time, paid internship for 3 months, commencing on the 10th of August. The days you work will be aligned and coordinated according to your University timetable.

On Thursday 16 July 2015, our Cyber Risk Services team will be hosting a Mock Assessment Centre. The session is intended to help you gain some experience and advance your personal and professional skills. On the night, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in simulations of the assessment procedures and solve real-life business problems.
Our Partners and Directors will also be sharing their experiences in privacy awareness and the relevant cyber practices to alleviate this. We’ll also give you some great tips for the recruitment process.

The assessment centre will focus on privacy around mobile devices. We’d like to ask you some questions about this to develop a case study aligned with real world privacy concerns:
- What type of mobile devices do you currently use? (mobile phone, tablet)
- For each of the mobile devices that you currently use, what is the operating software of the device? For example an iPhone would be Apple IOS, a Samsung Galaxy S4 would be Android.
- For this software what are your top 3 privacy concerns?
- On a scale of 1 (less concerned) to 5 (most concerned), how concerned are you about the privacy of the information on your mobile devices?

24 hours to build something awesome. How hard can that be?
UNIHACK is a hackathon run for university students, by university students in Melbourne, Australia. UNIHACK brings the most talented programmers, designers, thinkers and creators in one location to build something awesome. Teams of up to four students have 24 hours to design and build their idea. It can be anything - a website, a mobile application, or even a robot. It just needs to work when it is presented to the judges.
UNIHACK is open to all university and TAFE students in Australia. The only requirement is that you must be an enrolled student (undergrad, honours, postgrad or TAFE) in 2015.
